Our Mission:

Protect.

The QCCL is a volunteer organisation working to protect the human rights and civil liberties of all Queenslanders. Since 1966 we have campaigned for law reform on everything from privacy to protest law, promoted human rights in the media and hosted a range of educational events.

Though its provenance was humble and its opposition at times immense, the Council was a positive, powerful bastion of rights that many of us in that turbulent period recognised and immediately pledged ourselves to.

- The Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO
